10 tips for going back to work after baby

Are you back on the career track after delivering a baby? Good decision. Returning to work after months of maternity is difficult. Leaving the baby behind for work is heart-breaking for all moms. Follow these 10 tips and make a difficult transition more peaceful.

  1. Early start: Moms always have the insecurity about who will take care of the baby. Hence, it is always better to plan for caregivers before time. Also, because daycare centers may put you on the waitlist.

  1. Regular updates: Leaving your baby behind at a daycare center is the hardest part of a woman's career. Request your daycare center to update you with pictures of your baby throughout the day.

  1. Being patient: Patience is essential for you to transition back to work. It is highly crucial for parenting and wellness of your body. A piece of good advice for moms is patience. Do not schedule big client meetings and presentations in the beginning. Always give yourself some breathing space.

  1. Pumping discussion: Speak to your boss and plan for pumping. The human resource department will support you in feeding your baby.

  1. Bottle feed babies: Breastfeeding moms must plan for bottle feeding for babies. Feed the baby regularly with a bottle until the baby agrees is vital.

  1. Plan in advance: Your preparation time is at night. Plan your clothing, baby bag, etc. Organize things so that the next day is easier.

  1. Slow start: Part-time work for the first two weeks is good. This helps babies adapt and adjust to your schedule.

  1. Practice routine: A promising idea is to practice your routine in advance. Follow a habit of getting up early, getting the baby ready, starting at a fixed time, etc.

  1. Evenings only for baby: During the transition period, mom's quality time with the baby is essential. Hence, schedule your evening time only for your baby.

  1. Avoid guilt: If you plan to go back to work, avoid the guilty feeling. Do you know that 75% of American moms work outside? You are not a bad mother if you work after baby.

Hope these ten tips help working moms balance work and home.
