Are you excited to introduce your small one to the world? Are you eagerly awaiting the event of the arrival of your baby? The 37th week of pregnancy may sound a bit difficult. Usually, pregnant women get confused between a false alarm of delivery sign and a real one. Well, considering a few key essential points anticipates the time the baby will hit the ground. 

What exactly does labor mean?

Labor refers to the process of childbirth. It begins with the contraction of the uterus and ceases with giving birth. Usually, the due date falls in the 40th week of a full-term pregnancy. 

Signs of labor that you must know

1. Spontaneous Rupture of Membrane (SROM)

It means “breaking of water” The fluid-filled sac that surrounds the baby breaks out. The water may fall as a trickle or a small spurt of water.

2. Contraction

Contraction may lead to pain while experiencing lower back pain. Slight contractions need to ignore. Contractions at intervals of 30 minutes should consider.

3. Mucus plug

The mucus seals the cervix to protect the baby from infections.  As the labor approaches, the mucus loosens. It may fall as a jelly or water.

4. Shivering

In early labor, you may experience slight shivering or trembling. Shivering can happen before or after birth. Follow a deep breath, and relaxing may help you.

5. Feel joints looser

You may notice, joints all over your body are loosening or relaxing. It is a sign that shows that the little one making its way. 

6. Diarrhea

Another indication of labor is you might get diarrhea. The hormone prostaglandin stimulates the bowels frequently.

7. Increase in pain

The contraction during labor is more intense and increases pain. It indicates the delivery period is further away.

Consulting and acquiring guidance from a gynecologist is essential. The last week of pregnancy is crucial and requires small arrangements. Make up your mind beforehand, it is better always.
