3. Jack Ryan

John Krasinski plays the most recent iteration of Jack Ryan, portraying the CIA operative with enough grit to make you forget he was previously Jim from The Office. It was time for one of the Amazon Prime Video TV shows to allow Rachel Brosnahan to shine. In The Marvelous Miss Maisel, she is in superb form as a 1950s housewife who one day chooses to become a stand-up comedian, following minor roles in films and a time on House of Cards.

There's a lot to like in the production, but Brosnahan's primary performance as 'Midge' Maisel steals the show; her change when she finally takes the stage is incredible to observe.

6. Fleabag

It may sound shallow to pour further praise on one of the best web series on Amazon Prime that is practically universally adored, but (smiling wryly to the camera) they are correct. The translation of Phoebe Waller-one-woman Bridge's stage play is astonishingly crude, utterly hilarious, and tear-inducing.

7. Good Omens

Good Omens by Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett is being adapted for television by the BBC and Amazon Studios. The result is a six-part Amazon Prime Series starring one of the best acting duos on TV. David Tennant and Michael Sheen play Aziraphale and Crowley, angels sent to stop the world's end. Good Omens pleases Gaiman fans.

8. Mr Robot

Sam Esmail's Mr Robot is a unique creation. Its narrative of hackers attempting to overthrow corporate America is timely. Oscar-winner Rami Malek plays Elliot, an anti-social hacker with tics. Excellent supporting cast. BD Wong and Christian Slater impress in their parts.

The Crawleys' drama, politics, and servants become increasingly fascinating.

In this new crime thriller on Amazon Prime, Alan Ritchson portrays Jack Reacher, a retired military police officer detained for a killing he didn't commit. This season is based on the first novel in the Jack Reacher series - Killing Floor.
